stitch londonStitch London (formerly Stitch and Bitch London) is a free, friendly yet feisty stitching group based in London. Put simply we are a group of individual crafters who have come together to form a stitching community that supports, inspires and challenges itself through stitch after stitch.

Today we might possibly be the biggest stitching group in the world...

We're a multi-craft radioactive woolly Godzilla with plans for world stitching domination. Knitting, crochet, cross stitch, sewing, embroidery and other stitching crafters can all join our ranks from anywhere in the world.

Stitch London consists of regular members and Stitch Sages, who help teach new knitters at our monthly learner Stitch Up meetings. Each existing member of the group is encouragd to welcome new members and make them feel at home. In return for teaching the Stitch Sages get to take part in some of the knitting world's most fabulous projects.

Stitch London offers:

Today Stitch London has over 10 000 members in over 50 countries globally. We’re multicraft, welcoming to everyone no matter who you are and we’re a friendly but feisty bunch. We never turn a new stitcher away. We have never stopped offering everything for free.

Cake!

Since the beginning we've organised a ton of yarn-flavoured knitting events, produced a huge stash of stitching newsletters, raised thousands of shiny pounds for charity, turned out hands to knitting and crochet graffiti, unleashed handmade Halloween horror, consumed huge amounts of cake, won interplanetary battles with yarn-stealing aliens, made knitting history a fair few times and gone places no stitching group has gone before.

We love to knit, we are utterly in love with our fair city of London, and we love to stitch.

We are taking over the world one stitch at a time. Our woolly mission is to spread the fibre-based love and convince every last person to submit to the knit. Join us. Go on.
